Custom Shipping calculations will allow you to to set shipping costs with your own rules.  For example, if you just want to set Shipping at $5.00 for all your products, you would do that using the Custom Shipping Method.  You can create multiple Custom Shipping options and then choose to add whichever ones you want to a product. You can also choose to give customers Free Shipping if the order is over a certain amount.You would choose "Yes" in the drop down menu to enable that option.
